Our engine lathes are made of Meehanite naturally aged cast iron with ribbed double walls. Their monocoque type construction includes a single cast iron moulding shell. Depending on the dimensions of the engine lathe, there are several base-surface support points for improving stability and eliminating the risk of vibration. Bed slides are delivered induction-hardened and grounded. Gears and spindles that form the drive mechanism are also hardened through induction and grounded.
